Processing the death of a loved one is never easy. Of course, if you’re involved with the processing of a deceased estate (aka transmission applications), then it can be doubly difficult.

As the Executor or Administrator of the deceased person’s will, you’ll have certain responsibilities. For example, you may need to file a transmission application. This enables the transfer of the deceased’s share of a property to the relevant beneficiary or beneficiaries, as authorised by the person in control of the property.

• Gather appropriate documentation (letters of Administration or Grant of Probate/Statutory Declaration identifying deceased, Duplicate Certificate of Title
